Privacy policy

Last updated: 1 October 2026

Laravel is an online store builder operated by Sagarmatha Soft (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what personal information we collect when you use Laravel, how we use it and the choices you have. We handle personal information in line with Nepal’s Individual Privacy Act, 2075 (2018).

Who owns what — the short version

  • ●The platform is ours. Laravel — its software, templates, designs and brand — belongs to Sagarmatha Soft.
  • ●Your store’s data is yours. Your products, photos, content, orders and customer information belong to you. We only use them to run your store.
  • ●You can take it with you. Export your products and orders anytime. When your store is deleted, its data is permanently removed.

1. Who this policy covers

  • Merchants — people who sign up and run a store on Laravel.
  • Shoppers — people who browse or buy from a store built on Laravel. Each store is run by its merchant, who decides how shopper information is used; we store and process it on the merchant’s behalf.

2. What belongs to us

Laravel and everything that makes it work belong to Sagarmatha Soft: the software, dashboard and code, all templates and their designs, the Laravel and Sagarmatha Soft names and logos, and the sample products and text we provide to help you start. Sample photos are licensed from their photographers and are for demonstration only. You may customise templates inside Laravel but not copy, resell or rebuild them elsewhere.

3. What belongs to you

You own your store’s content and data — your store name and brand, products, photos, descriptions, pages, orders, sales records and customer information. You give us permission to store, display and process it only to run your store and provide Laravel to you. We do not claim ownership of it, sell it, or use your customers’ information for our own marketing.

4. Information we collect

  • Account details: your name, email, phone number and password (stored securely hashed — we never see it).
  • Store details: store name, address, products, photos, pages and settings you add.
  • Order information: shopper names, delivery addresses, phone numbers, emails and order contents, needed to fulfil orders.
  • Payment references: transaction IDs from eSewa, Khalti or other providers. We never receive or store card numbers or wallet passwords.
  • Technical data: IP address, browser type and pages visited, used for security and to keep the service working.

5. How we use it

  • To create and run your store and your account.
  • To process orders and send order, shipping and delivery emails.
  • To provide support and tell you about important changes to the service.
  • To protect the service against fraud, spam and abuse.
  • To improve Laravel, using aggregated information that does not identify you.

We do not sell personal information.

6. Sharing

We share information only when needed to provide the service:

  • With the merchant whose store a shopper buys from.
  • With service providers that help us run Laravel — hosting, email delivery and payment providers such as eSewa and Khalti — who may use it only for that purpose.
  • When required by the law of Nepal or to protect the rights and safety of our users.

7. How we protect it

Each store’s data is kept in its own separate database. Passwords are hashed and payment keys are encrypted. Access by our team is limited to what is needed for support and maintenance. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and will notify affected users of a serious breach.

8. Your data when you leave

  • You can export your products and orders from your dashboard at any time.
  • If your subscription ends, your storefront closes but your data is kept, so you can come back or export it. We will contact you before deleting a store that has been inactive for a long time.
  • When a store is deleted, its database — products, orders and customer details — is permanently removed. We may keep limited billing records where the law requires.

9. Your choices and rights

  • See and update your account and store information at any time from your dashboard.
  • Ask us for a copy of your information, or ask us to correct or delete it.
  • Shoppers can contact the store they bought from, or us, to access or delete their information.
  • Opt out of marketing emails using the link in the email.

10. Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in, remember your cart and protect forms from misuse. We do not use cookies for third-party advertising.

11. Children

Laravel is not intended for children under 16 to run a store. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

12. Changes

We may update this policy. If the changes are significant, we will let merchants know by email or in the dashboard before they take effect.
